Trak-It is a web-based healthcare service application that enables companies to adjudicate and reprice healthcare claims, maintain provider and fee schedule data, manage capitated contracts from authorization through claims payment, and manage employee benefits. Trak-It was jointly developed by experienced software engineers and end users in both the provider and payor sectors. For easy and efficient changes, it was designed using object-oriented methodologies and implementation using C++. The database utilized is Microsoft SQL Server which enables users to report extensively on all data elements using third party reporting tools such as Crystal Reports. Compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is built in so that the need for expensive redo is eliminated. Trak-It offers a high level of technology and functionality at a reduced total cost of ownership. Clients may choose to maintain and manage their own hardware, software, and telecommunications or to lease Trak-It through the Application Service Provider (ASP) model which minimizes initial capital investment and the ongoing costs associated with on-site management of an information system. Either way, clients are equipped to serve health care customers more efficiently.
